CareChoice has a dedicated team of activity leaders who assist our tenants to continue previous hobbies and routines or indeed explore new interests.
CareChoice fosters a sense of community by facilitating recreation activities specifically for those living in the Retirement Village and welcoming them to certain activities in the nursing home. A monthly calendar of Recreation Choices is circulated to Tenants giving details of the time and venue for each event. Many events are provided free of charge.

Typical events include:
• Social activities: coffee mornings, afternoon tea, pub evenings
• Physical activities such as bowling and other  ball games. Dungarvan has its own five hole putting green.
• Musical afternoons/evenings
• Weekly ‘Fit for Life’ fitness classes for all levels of fitness
• Social facilities: library, local and national newspapers, videos and DVDs are available in the nursing home
• Activity programmes including arts and crafts, baking, gardening and bingo
• Weekly card games
• Summer outing each year as well as intermittent trips to community events and local areas of interest.
