Dungarvan residents get planting!

Residents at CareChoice Dungarvan have had a busy week. They took advantage of the fine weather to begin work on their vegetable garden. After a tough few days of digging, rows of cabbages and many other vegetables are now taking root in the vegetable patch. We look forward to tucking in to homegrown veggies very soon!
Dungarvan residents visit Ring and Ardmore

Residents from CareChoice Dungarvan visite Ring and Ardmore on a recent trip out of the House. The day was sunny and bright which showed the beautiful Waterford coast off to perfection. In fact it was such a lovely day they stopped for ice-cream on the way home!
Dungarvan Christmas Party a wonderful success

The residents at CareChoice Dungarvan celebrated Christmas with family and friends on Friday 9th of December. With live music from Finbarr, scrumptious treats from the kitchen and lots of guests we had a wonderful afternoon!
Dungarvan Golfathon

Residents and staff from CareChoice Dungarvan held a seven hour golfathon to raise funds for the local Alzheimers Society as part of Positive Ageing Week. Together with family and friends they raised €300 as well as having an afternoon with lots of laughing in the sunshine!
Dungarvan Agricultural Show

Residents from CareChoice recently attended the Dungarvan Agricultural Show. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching up with old neighbours and watching the show jumping and livestock judging.
Afternoon tea with family and friends

The residents and staff invited family and friends for afternoon tea in CareChoice Dungarvan on the 1st of July. We had a traditional afternoon tea, complete with fine china and cake stands with the sounds of a string quartet playing in the backround. It was a relaxed afternoon, lots of chatting and listening to beautiful music. A special thanks to the kitchen team who spoilt us with their homemade cakes!
Mobile Farm Ireland visits CareChoice Dungarvan

Last Sunday the carpark of CareChoice Dungarvan was transformed into a farmyard with the visit of Mobile Farm Ireland to the Home. Residents met cows, pigs, geese, hens, a calf and two pet lambs. Despite the friendly nature of the larger animals the real showstoppers on the day were three little ducklings only eight days old!
Tea and Sunshine at the the Goldcoast

Residents from CareChoice Dungarvan took a trip to the Goldcoast Hotel for afternoon tea on Monday 18th April. Deciding to take advantage of the fine weather they took their sunglasses and sat outside enjoying the scenery and some hot apple crumble
Siamsa Show to celebrate St Patrick's Day

Residents of all CareChoice Homes recently enjoyed the Siamsa Show presented by our old friends The Butterfly Theatre Company. There was traditional Irish dancing, beautiful singing and their rendition of 'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling' proved a real favourite.
Dungarvan Ladies visit the Cliff House Hotel

Four ladies from CareChoice Dungarvan returned to our old haunt the Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore recently. As always the sea views were beautiful and we were particularly impressed by the home made bread and butter pudding!
