Ballynoe Residents get festive

Residents at CareChoice Ballynoe celebrated Christmas with family and friends on Saturday 10th December. Beautful table decorations and Christmas lights set the scene and we enjoyed live music and scrumptious festive treats from the catering team.
CareChoice Ballynoe celebrates Positive Ageing Week

Residents at Ballynoe enjoyed a real treat as part of positive ageing week with an Art Day. They tried many different methods including painting, clay and some crafts. We discovered many hidden talents and look forward to spending more time on artistic endeavours at Ballynoe!
Ballynoe residents hit the shops!

Residents from Ballynoe have been enjoying bargain hunting in recent weeks at the end of summer sales. Following a hard afternoons shopping we have become regulars at the Marks and Spencers cafe and can highly recommend the lemon cake!!
Ballynoe residents visit Blarney

Five residents from Ballynoe recently visited the newly refurbished restaurant at Blarney Woollen Mills. After a spot of shopping the homemade apple scones and milky coffees provided very welcome sustanance.
Mobile Farm Ireland visits CareChoice Ballynoe

Last Friday the carpark of CareChoice Ballynoe was transformed into a farmyard with the visit of Mobile Farm Ireland to the Home. Residents met cows, pigs, geese, hens, a calf and two pet lambs. Despite the friendly nature of the larger animals the real showstoppers on the day were three little ducklings only six days old! Residents were joined on the day by pupils from Upper Glanmire National School.
Siamsa Show to celebrate St Patrick's Day

Residents of all CareChoice Homes recently enjoyed the Siamsa Show presented by our old friends The Butterfly Theatre Company. There was traditional Irish dancing, beautiful singing and their rendition of 'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling' proved a real favourite.

On Friday 18th March the Irish Weavers came to CareChoice Ballynoe to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It was a wonderful afternoon's entertainment full of traditional music and song, and plenty of audience participation!

On Wednesday 16th March the Irish Weavers came to CareChoice Macroom to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It was a wonderful afternoon's entertainment full of traditional music and song. Residents and staff even chanced a Siege of Ennis!
Afternoon Tea

Three ladies from Ballynoe visited the Vienna Woods Hotel for afternoon tea. They enjoyed lovely sweet treats and met many old friends to catch up with all the local news!
Christmas Panto at CareChoice

This year all CareChoice Residents enjoyed the Christmas Panto Aladdin performed by the Butterfly Theatre Company. Professional actors and musicians came to the Home and residents, staff and visitors (especially grandchildren!)enjoyed a wonderful afternoons entertainment.
